In a move to curtail free-expression, The Chronicle which is the only daily paper in the Bulawayo region has informed us that they are not allowed by their superiors to publish adverts for the play Overthrown by Stanley Makuwe to run at Amakhosi Theater on the 12th and 13th of October 2007.

The reasons are that the title of the play 'Overthrown' is not in good taste for the government and that it has been produced and directed by Cont Mhlanga.

Well our focus now is to get an audience to come and see the play while their objective is to make sure that no one in Bulawayo gets to know about the play.  Your support is sought to inform those that you know in Bulawayo who like political theater to come and enjoy Overthrown.

There will be three shows next weekend Friday 12th 7.30pm, two shows on Saturday the 13th at 5pm and 7.30pm. Ticket is Z$150.000 at the door.
