A Poem by Shepherd Mandhlazi

You have disgraced me my wife
dancing and ululating
for a tyrant;
oppressor of the people.
I saw you on TV
Your regalia
With his face  and the cockerel
dancing and laying sarongs  at his feet.
You are going back to your parents
My wife of ten years.
How could you chant
Vamugabe ndibaba
Pamberi ne Zanu?
Don't you see the hunger
The suffering
The fear
Who do you think caused all that?
