A Poem by Cont Mhlanga 

1. They are behaving like an opposition party - but that one which is in
power, ordering the recounting as they wish. Since when in Zimbabwe has
this happened? They are not the first ones to complain about an election
outcome but if they have always believed that they won they move ahead and
ignore who ever is complaining. Who has been guarding these boxes all this
time anywhere? Them of course!  What is this old man up to?

2. A reliable source just informed me that solders have been sent out to
every district to terrorize chiefs, headman and village heads to make sure
that they tell their people to vote correctly this time when ever them
decide for a run off at a convenient time to them and not vote for More!

3. The latest making rounds in Bulawayo is that he has sent war veterans
to invade Dumiso Dabengwa's farm in Nyamandlovu! Now some one is using
some one to build a case for a tribal war. What if some Ndebele youths
respond by invading and chasing away all Shona people who got land in
Matebeleland?????? What is this old man up to?

4. He holds President Mbeki's hand and tells him to tell the world that
there is 'No Crisis in Zimbabwe'...when rural people die of hunger because
they can't go into a shop and buy maize meal of any food...if that is not a
crisis then what is a crisis???? What is this old man up to?

5. Why are they making sure that radio, television and all daily
newspapers in Zimbabwe behave like party media? What is this old man up
to?
